The one who's going to figure this out.
Whether you signed up for it or not, this is landing on you. Two versions of the same story walk into the Lab:
You know their finances, roughly — but not the rest.
What you're still unclear about are which tactical documents to actually create, which structures to set up (trust vs. will vs. Power of Attorney), what benefits your elders qualify for, the average cost of care in their region, or how many years you should be planning to fund.
You don't have the info — and neither do they.
Nothing's really organized. You don't know their real numbers. You don't know if benefits are available. You need to figure out how to qualify for benefits your elders may not know exist — while protecting your family from footing a bill nobody planned for.
Many of us are grinding this out in silence.
"I looked up power of attorney at midnight and closed the tab."
"I don't actually know what Medicare covers. I just assumed we wouldn't qualify for anything."
"I'm the one who 'has it together,' so I'm the one who gets the call."
"Half the advice online doesn't even apply. Our family's immigration status makes it useless."
"I don't know what this actually costs, so I just feel like I have to out-earn the unknown."
"My siblings and I have never once talked about who's doing what."
This is a systemic gap, not a personal failure.
The Elder Care Dime Lab is built to help you cross things off your list — one week at a time — and actually finish. Because there's a deadline.
Four things this Lab gets you that you'll actually need.
There's nothing else like this — because nobody built it. So we did.
The right expert every week — paired when it matters most.
An elder care concierge, family therapist, caregiver-specialized Certified Financial Planner, estate lawyer, and tax strategist lead the sessions. Where the questions overlap, so do the experts — so you get the whole answer in one room instead of piecing it across five appointments.
The benefits they already paid for, actually claimed.
Most families have no idea what their tax dollars entitle them to — or what information they need to even ask the right questions. The Blueprint captures every essential detail (including the ones nobody tells you matter) to be able to run federal, state, county, and city eligibility against your elder's real numbers.
Built for first-gen breadwinners.
Parents who won't share numbers. Mixed-status households. Properties and relatives back home. The parts of elder-care planning mainstream advice pretends don't exist — addressed directly, without judgment.
You leave with the plan built, not just information consumed.
Every week ends with something concrete added to your Elder Care Blueprint — documents drafted, benefits applications submitted, care team named. You don't finish the Lab with a folder of notes. You finish with a plan your family can actually run.
How the Blueprint actually gets built.
Every week: one live Q&A with vetted experts, plus one protected coworking hour. Sequenced so each week's work runs on the last week's answers.
The landscape
What care costs, what benefits your elder qualifies for, what they want when the time comes — and how to talk about any of it with everyone who needs to be in the conversation.
Sets up Week 2, where you map your elder's numbers against this.
- Average care costs, by stage and region
- Key benefits your elder may qualify for
- DIY vs. bringing in concierge support
- Successful strategies and tactics for having these tender conversations with your elder and family
Protected time to fill in the landscape while the framework is fresh.
Your money map
Your elder's real income, savings, assets, and debt — mapped against what Week 1 told you care actually costs. You leave with real numbers and anticipated gaps, not a guess.
Sets up Week 3, where legal and tax strategy runs on these numbers.
- Full income, savings, and debt inventory
- Homes and other assets, here and there, and common pitfalls to avoid
- The real gap between what your elders have and what care costs
Protected time to build your elder's money map while the framework is live.
The fuzzy infrastructure clarified
Estates, trusts, wills, Power of Attorney, probate, gifting, spend-downs, look-backs, and what to understand about Medicare and Medicaid — all worked out against your Week 2's real numbers, not hypotheticals.
Sets up Week 4, where it all becomes your plan.
- Estates, trusts, wills, and Powers of Attorney, and what each actually covers for your elder and you
- Gifting and spend-down strategies
- Medicaid & Medicare entitlements, look-back periods, and why timing matters
Protected time to draft the legal and tax pieces with the expert insight still hot.
Lock in your plan
Now with your elder's real numbers in hand: stages of care, what qualifying actually looks like, and turning it all into one plan your family can actually run.
- What benefits map to which stage of care in your elder's city
- Understanding what your elder needs to qualify for which federal, state, county, and city benefits
- DIY vs. concierge support, revisited with your real numbers
- Turning all of it into one family blueprint
Protected time to lock in your plan alongside peers doing the same.
Session experts, Dime-vetted.
We've done the research and interviewing so you don't have to.
A diagnosis forced us through decades of my parents' silence about the details of their money.
My mom got a late Alzheimer's diagnosis. My dad had a medical event soon after. I was leading my teams through some of the most complex company changes of my career, mid emergency remodel on our house, with two lawsuits running (see: emergency remodel).
I'm the alpha child, so of course it landed on me. My adoring dad was in denial. My heartbroken sister was researching drug trials. My mom made peace with it: "I won't know the difference." I'd always known they were struggling. The details were what they'd spent decades stonewalling. Proud, private, done.
A friend at National Care Advisors (NCA) told me they could help me. But to use their help, I first had to hand over the kind of detail my parents had never organized in one place. Income. Assets. Debts. Wishes. What existed. What didn't.
I did the gathering NCA needed to do their work. Toured memory care facilities with Medi-Cal beds across two counties so I could describe what I saw. Sat with attorneys to draft the estate, trust, will, and Powers of Attorney. Compared what our city offered against theirs, and ran the math on relocating them closer.
Nobody hands us any of this. This Lab is that build — sequenced so the order compounds, curated with the care of the professionals we all deserve. Everything I wish I'd had. Everything I learned I needed. Everything every family should have before they're in it. Four weeks to demystify it, get your details together, and save yourself the years spent figuring it out.
What it costs, and what's included.
