Wealth Coworking 5 // Aimee Espiritu, M., Ed.

In this Wealth Coworking Session, we emphasized making REST a priority in your budget. When you actually give REST a dedicated line, it stops being optional—it becomes a more intentional practice. It’s how we avoid burnout, avoid guilt-driven over/underspending on our care. It’s how we keep our creativity flowing, and nurture balance. Think of it as a reminder that your well-being deserves planning just as much as everything else.

💡Our facilitator, Aimee Espiritu, shared this framework from @thebrokeblackgirl

  • R - Retreat: Set aside funds for a getaway to disconnect and recharge.

  • E - Entertainment: Budget for fun activities that bring joy and relaxation.

  • S - Self-care:  Invest in things that help you rest, like yoga or massages.

  • T - Time off: Use your PTO (paid time off)  to take breaks and come back refreshed.

Aimee introduced some prompts that got us reflecting:

  • If REST were a line item in your budget, what would it look like for you?

  • What feelings or curiosities come up when seeing this call for budgeting REST?

Members shared all kinds of practices like dance classes, incubation tanks, and “spa days fr fr Korean spa with a grumpy old lady exfoliating me.” And also shared curiosities like how to create a Rest Plan.

Catch the replay and explore how to make rest a priority in your finances. 💛
